A Repeat Of The M-Word - I Don't Even Think So

Most of you are familiar with The M-Word. But just in case here are a few links to catch you up
The M-Word Part 1
The M-Word Part 2
The M-Word Part 3
so there is a new person that I have been friends with for a year or 2. And her nickname should be The M-Word #2. we met in similar circumstances, and a work environment. There is an age difference..what's new? she thinks she knows what she wants, but what she doesn't know is she doesn't know what she wants. I like to say she doesn't know what she doesn't know. I did not know what I did not know back in The-M Word days. I really did think that when she got older she would want to build her life instead of just continuing to live through her parents and her families lives. I learned that the hard way. People don't change. This M-Word #2 keeps saying things will be all different as time passes. But oh how wrong she is. If she's not willing to go after what she wants now, she'll never be willing to go after what she wants. An excellent predictor of future behavior is relevant past behavior. Let's talk about The M-Word #1 for a second. It's been over 10 years and she is basically no different than she was back then. Except now she will openly live with different guys and her parents accept it as long as it's not me.

Someone told me a long time ago if something's not worth getting all worked up over, perhaps it's not worth doing at all. So this M-Word #2 is very attractive, cute, sweet, has great hair, is very intelligent, and is very fun to be around. But those are also part of the problem. I've already done that deal when you wait on someone till the time supposedly gets right, the time never is right for those type of people.

I will brag on myself in this area. I think I have done a fantastic job of seizing the opportunities as they have come my way. Sure I have said things like: I'm not old enough to do that, I don't have the money for that, I'll wait till I get out of school to do that, and 1 million other excuses. But when I see something I want I go after it hundred percent.

Bye-bye for now
