I found out about a counselor here in our town of San Angelo, Texas named Neil Snipes that seems to work with a lot of people with BPD and personality disorders. I gave Dear that info and she went to see him the same day. I was so proud of her, however I wasn't being asked to participate in any sessions and any time I brought it up she discouraged it. Let me give you just a little past history. Dr. Phil says an excellent predictor of future behavior is relevant past behavior.
A year or so ago Dear found a counselor that she wanted to go to and she started seeing this counselor. But right away, within the first three weeks, she just became very unpleasant to be around. I will also say for full disclosure that from the beginning of her wanting to go see this previous counselor, I had concerns about her being truthful with the counselor. I told her they can't help you if you don't tell them the truth. Her biggest problem by far is her lying. She agreed and said she would record the sessions with the counselor and I could listen to them anytime I wanted to because she said she was being honest. She says people that have nothing to hide hide nothing. She did record the sessions starting from the very first one but....Part 3 Soon
