This chapter was relatively ok. More informational than insightful. I do find interesting the nature vs. nurture and what came first, the chicken or the egg because these types of questions are the kind that arise with dealing with personality disorders. There are so many questions that it seems you may never really know the answer. I also find it interesting that a lot of borderlines are affected by the their mothers and this is where the nature vs. nurture comes in. Was it the environment the mother was providing or was she keeping her child too close? Those things I find most fascinating. I learned the stages of what an early borderline may go through and I suppose they are useful in a way to try and figure out why I have done some of things I have in the past. I feel those things don’t apply to me because I already am an adult. Although, I must not disregard the information because it could be useful in the future.
